I actually received this as a gift as a child, I understand that being so excited to get it, I couldn’t wait! I’ve toted him around for over 35 years and it’s finally time to let him go! I was one of those that took immaculate care of my toys, and in this case NEVER took it out of the package! The first time I took it out, was to photo it! It’s been out of the box just long enough for me to verify the contents and that’s the reason when I sadly discovered that the umbrella handle had been broken. Due to all of our military moves, i’m not surprised! Many of the other accessories are still originally taped in place just as they were when purchased! s still I don’t recall ever taking Inspector out and he looks like he’s never been out. You’ll see some discoloration on his buttons from his years sitting in the box. The metal parts on the toys also have aged as well, but that seems to be very common with this toy as i’ve looked at others listings. I know this handle can be easily glued–and that too seems like a common problem, but I can not be gluing it–i’ll leave that to the new owner! I don’t see anything on his shoes, but as I picked him out, it felt like something was on his shoes? Again, I think this is just from sitting in the packaging for so long, but I did take an up-close for you to decide as he’s never been played with.Everything here is in fabulous condition, with the exception of the box, it’s definitely seen better days over the last 36 years! This is a complete set!
